"በትግራይ ውጊያ ሲጀመር በመጀመሪያው ዙር ወጊያ ሽሬን ካስለቀቅን በኋላ የኤርትራ ጦር ከኋላ ኋላ ተከትሎ ሽሬ ገብቶ የአንዳንድ ግለሰቦችን ቤት ማፍረስ፣ ፎቅ ማፍረስ ሲጀምር ፀብ ተጀምሯል፤ አልተናገርንም እንጂ" ሲሉ በሁለቱ መንግሥታት መካከል "ጸብ የጀመረው" ከትግራይ ጦርነት ጋር በተያያዘ መሆኑ ገልጸዋል

By saying, "When the fighting in Tigray began, after we cleared Shire in the first round of battles, Eritrean troops followed behind and entered Shire, and when they started demolishing some people's houses and buildings, resentment began; we just didn't talk about it," they revealed that the resentment between the two governments began in connection with the Tigray war.
